Orbit Communications Pty Ltd proudly announces the release of the latest
4th generation BodyGuard proximity detection and warning system.
The system has been specifically designed to assist the driver by providing both visual and audible warning if a person is detected in a blind spot or poor visibility area within close proximity of the Forklift. The driver then has the opportunity to stop the vehicle or take other action to avoid a possible collision and/or injury.
The system is intended to provide an additional layer of risk reduction and is to be used in conjunction with existing safety processes. (The system is not intended to provide a fail-safe safety process or remove any duty of care of driver and/or other personnel).
In addition to detecting proximity to pedestrians, the system can be used to access boundaries (such as boom gates), activate strobe or traffic control signals when vehicles enter within proximity of the safety zone.

- History Log of "near hit" events can be downloaded and used as proactive tool for identifying areas of highest risk and making changes as a result to reduce risk of collision
