Wiferion has launched the world's first cloud-based solution for smart robot charging, the etaHUB charge optimisation platform, at the Detroit Automate exhibition.
The cloud-based etaHUB application reduces energy consumption, extends battery life by up to 50% and increases the productivity of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) through real-time intelligent charging management.
Wiferion North America vice president Matthieu Ebert says: “Smart charging is the pivotal next step for scaling automated robots and solutions robustly, and we are able to offer this game-changing intelligent charging solution to North American customers."
Combilift adds electric forklift

Combilift unveiled its new multidirectional electric forklift, the Combi-CB70E, at Ligna, an international timber and woodworking show.
The company says its new model, the shortest 7 T capacity counterbalance forklift [BA1] on the market, is ideally suited for the operational demands of the timber industry.
Combilift chief executive and co-founder Martin McVicar says: “The increased capacities that we are offering in our electric range will answer the demand for ever more powerful products which at the same time help companies to achieve their aims for more sustainable operations.”
Combilift also revealed its new optional Auto Swivel Seat that automatically swivels the seat and armrest 15 degrees to the right or left to accord with the direction of travel selected by the operator, a feature designed to reduce driver strain, particularly when travelling in reverse.
Hyster adds new models in UK

Hyster has launched a new series of internal combustion (IC) forklifts with capacities of up to 7 T, the Hyster H4.0-5.0UT and H5.0-7.0UT6 forklifts.
The forklifts are equipped with high quality and durable Kubota SI and CI industrial engines, compliant to the latest Stage V emission regulations for the EU.
Hyster solutions manager Eva Nachtergaele says: “These lift trucks are ideal for less arduous tasks. The UT series meets this need at an attractive price, giving our customers greater choice for matching the right truck to their specific application.”
The company says the new models are suitable for applications in construction materials retail, metals fabrication and workshops and some manufacturing operations
