Bolzoni boosts rentals
Piacenza, Italy
Attachment maker Bolzoni has stepped up its efforts in the rental and remanufactured product markets to offer alternatives to the purchase of new attachments,
The company notes that rental and used products are more important than ever in the face of shortages, challenges to logistics chains and extended lead times for new equipment.
A spokesman adds that rental or the purchase of reconditioned equipment are also options for seasonal peaks, an unexpected breakdown or simply to cover an additional fleet requirement, particularly because of their instant availability.
Bolzoni has launched a new portal for the offerings, stressing that each attachment is carefully checked and refurbished after every hire. “Each used or rental product is inspected, reconditioned and tested according to the highest quality standards, becoming a convenient alternative to purchasing a new product,” the spokesman explains.
After the reconditioning process, the attachment will have the appearance and quality expected from an Original Equipment Manufacturer with a 12-month warranty.
Hoppecke launches heavy battery
Newcastle-under-Lyme
Industrial battery specialist Hoppecke has launched a new range, purpose-designed for heavy-duty applications.
Featuring a unique ‘Connect Four' structure, the trak | uplift quadro offers longer running times, as the technology delivers up to 75% more usable capacity compared to a classic PzS cell under load. Meanwhile, a fast-charging capability ensures better battery availability. Opportunity charging is possible without intensive equalisation charging and a Protective Shell Separator prevents short circuits due to mossing.
The trak | uplift quadro's higher efficiency translates into energy savings of up to 8%, the company claims. There are fewer cable temperature issues too, as the battery runs cooler for longer, effectively extending its service life.
Hoppecke general manager Stuart Browne says: "We're really excited about the new trak | uplift quadro, which is purpose-designed to cope with high tonnage trucks and intensive operations where equipment typically runs all day.”
