 Craig Paylor |
Oshkosh Truck Corp has named Craig E Paylor as president of JLG Industries Inc.
Paylor was JLG's senior vice president of marketing, responsible for business development, sales, marketing, customer service and aftermarket globally.
He joined JLG in 1978 as a district manager. Since then, he has held increasingly customer-focused roles, primarily in sales, marketing and business development.
In 1996, he was made an officer of JLG. In 1999, he was appointed senior vice president of sales and market development. During the 29 years of his employment with JLG, the company grew from annual revenues of USD40 million to USD2.3 billion in fiscal 2006.
Oshkosh chairman, president and CEO Robert G Bohn credited Paylor for leading many developments in the access equipment industry.
"Craig brings exceptionally strong leadership skills, broad business acumen, international business management capabilities and an acutely perceptive understanding of JLG's customers and markets to the role," Bohn said.
Paylor has a bachelor's degree from Penn State University and a master's degree from Harvard Business School. He succeeds Charles Szews, Oshkosh executive vice president and chief financial officer. Szews had been acting president since Oshkosh's acquisition of JLG last December (
