Northland Industrial Truck Co Inc (NITCO) has added exclusive representation of the Yale forklift line for the state of Connecticut, and for the counties of Berkshire, Franklin, Hamden and Hampshire in Massachusetts.

The 30,000 sqft. (2,787 sqm) full-service NITCO branch in Wallingford, Connecticut is responsible for those markets, effective 22 March.

In addition, NITCO is the exclusive Hyster forklift dealer for New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, most of Massachusetts and eastern Vermont. Yale and Hyster are brands of publicly traded Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc, the 28 September 2012 spin-off from Nacco Industries Inc.

NITCO was founded in 1969, employs 285 staff and also represents lines of Combilift, Landoll-Bendi-Drexel, Sellick, Mariotti and JCB forklifts; EnerSys batteries and chargers; Nilfisk-Advance Inc's Advance-brand sweepers and scrubbers and Cyclone-brand systems for surface cleaning with water recycling; and Taylor-Dunn commercial and industrial vehicles.

In addition to its Wilmington headquarters and Wallingford location, NITCO has branch facilities for other New England geographic service areas in Shrewsbury and Stoughton, Massachusetts; Lewiston, Maine; and Concord, New Hampshire.

NITCO projects sales of USD96 million for the fiscal year ending 31 October after reporting sales of USD85 million for the previous 2012 fiscal year, says Alan Hammersley, chief operating officer.

NITCO supports and maintains a green initiative that includes the recycling of paper, computer, electronics and process waste.
