The Nexen FDX18.

Nexen Lift Trucks has delivered seven customised FDX18 trucks that were manufactured at its Lowestoft, UK plant to Big K Charcoal, which operates a 7.5 ac. (3 ha) national distribution centre in Norfolk.

The order follows two FDX25s that were delivered to Big K at the end of last year. The two 2.5 T capacity trucks are used for loading and unloading raw materials and stock in containers. They are of container specification and move freely in and out of containers, and do not need a pallet truck to remove the pallets prior to their use.

Big K's Norfolk warehouse can hold up to 8,000 pallets and has a 72-hour turnaround time from when orders are taken.

The Nexen FDX18 with its smaller chassis is suitable for use in the warehouse, which has narrow aisles and 5.5 m (18 ft.) high custom racking.
