Cascade Corporation's website was cutting-edge when it was first introduced in 1998. But times have changed, and so has technology. That's why they recently launched a new site at www.cascorp.com.
"We wanted to keep up with our customers' needs," said Mike Kern, Director of Dealer Marketing and Sales-Americas. Although most of the new functionality is at the Americas section of the site, Cascade Europe will launch their new site next week.
Many users say the website makes it easy to find the information they're looking for. But
cascorp.com's Americas site got more than just a make-over. Registered users can check the status of their web orders and review order history by clicking on "my orders". They can maintain multiple addresses in the "my profile" area of the site-a major benefit to dealers who place orders for multiple locations. Dealer parts managers will find that parts ordering is faster because part descriptions and prices are populated automatically.
Cascade's Technical Publications group added almost 1,000 parts manuals, installation instructions and other manuals to the service literature area of the site, which offers multiple ways to search for documents. Hundreds of additional documents will be added in coming weeks. There's also a powerful global search at the bottom of every page that searches the entire website.
In the Products section, the Cascade web team included video clips of some products, with three bandwidth options. They will add many more videos over the next few months.
More improvements are in store, Kern said. "Our customers are driving the future of our site. They want to be able to track their orders and check parts availability, and this new design has laid the groundwork for that functionality. We want www.cascorp.com to make their jobs easier."
