The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Messe München GmbH (MMG) are jointly organising a trade show in Mumbai, India in February 2011.
Named "bC India - A bauma CONEXPO show", the international trade fair will target the construction machinery, building material machinery, mining machinery and construction vehicle industries.
AEM and MMG have also signed an agreement to co-operate closely in organising international construction machinery trade fairs. They plan to establish a joint venture to manage bC India.
Eugen Egetenmeir, MMG's deputy managing director, says there is considerable potential in the partnership. "Industry has given a positive response to the idea of an international trade fair for construction machinery in the growth market of India. Through the co-operation between Messe München and AEM, the new event is set to quickly establish itself as an international platform," he says.
Dennis Slater, AEM president, agrees: "Our co-operation will bring a combined international expertise to the Indian marketplace for the benefit of bC India participants and the involved industry."
Details about the Indian expo will be announced in the northern hemisphere summer.
