Rocla Oyj designers were among the top designers that travelled to Essen, Germany last month for the Red Dot design award ceremony.
Petteri Masalin and Kero Uusitalo, who designed the h2 tiller arm for Rocla's warehouse trucks that was awarded with honourable mention, attended the ceremony for the first time (

"It is terrific that a Finnish company like Rocla is awarded together with big well-known brands like Adidas and Sony. It was thrilling to see Rocla's product next to awarded products by BMW and Mini," says Masalin.
Colleague Uusitalo says the event was prestigious because the jury consisted of the world leaders in design.
"[Also] the modern music and ballet performance during the evening and the high number of attendees created a very special atmosphere," he says. Over 1,000 people attended the event at the Red Dot Design Museum.
Over 3,200 products from 51 countries participated in the competition this year. For information about the winners, visit
