Hans H. Meyer GmbH introduces a modified build of the successful series 6-2400N and offers a new, complete programme especially suitable for full-service and arduous working conditions.
Back in the Eighties Hans H. Meyer GmbH developed a fork positioner ahead of its time: the 6-24xxN series. As a rule, standard truck forks are used and are simply hung on to the arm carriers of the fork position. The arm carriers are guided on precision manufactured chrome axles or shafts. Apart from the low service and maintenance requirements this shaft-guided concept distinguishes itself through its long life wear elements. As the robust shaft construction is not subject to any wear, it reduces the number of actual wear parts to just a few cost effective parts, namely the bushes incorporating wipers built into the arm carriers. The bushes are made from durable special materials and having undergone long-term tests easily reach a life expectancy of 20.000 operating hours under normal working conditions and maintenance. An that an exchange even throughout the duration of a multi-shift five-year contract is not necessary. Therefore, in the Eighties, Meyer had already developed the build for today's requirements in full-service operations. This unit now undergoes further improvements.
The shaft-guided fork positioner from Meyer is now a new build independent of fork carriage width.
The new build type 6-25xxF is now independent of the fork carriage width and is therefore more flexible in its application. Because the width of the fork positioner is no longer restricted to the overall width of the truck, a larger opening range is available. The solid frame construction strengthens the unit and renders the centre link superfluous. The arm carrier plates are equipped with a flexible fork stop, which also allows the use of wider forks. Due to an optimum arrangement of the frame, extra wide forks can also be utilised. The full opening range can be maintained. The arm carriers have as standard 3 or 4 drill holes, which allow the subsequent inclusion of bolt on forks. Drill holes for a modular load guard are already in place so that an addition is possible any time. The load guard can be adjusted in its position so that the front edge can be flush with forks of varying thickness.
This new series is now available with and without forks and with ISO mountings or mast-integrated design. Apart from the design with integrated sideshift there will also be a separate sideshift available from summer 2007 with or without forks.
