The battery specialists Norco Group Limited have launched a host of new products and services including Norco RMSTM, Norco STR, Norco Power for Life and our new after sales offering.

Norco are the UK market leader in the short term rental, maintenance and management of traction and standby batteries, chargers and UPS systems and with an inventory of over 5000 assets, Norco has the largest rental fleet of traction batteries in the United Kingdom.

Norco STR

The Norco rental offering is the simple, flexible and risk-free way to acquire a traction battery, charger or lifting equipment. We offer immediate access to our diverse inventory of products and can fulfil all requirements, from the most common types to the more obscure. Due to the critical nature of many short term requirements, we promise quick delivery and ex-stock items can be delivered next day.

Norco STR agreements are flexible and there is no obligation to sign for long periods. Our minimum hire period is 4 weeks with no maximum term, and rates remain constant throughout the life of the contract. Discounts are applied for longer term requirements.

Norco RMS

Norco RMS is an innovative asset tracking, transaction recording and reporting system that optimises utilisation, in turn maximising return on your battery fleet investment and eliminating unnecessary expenditure on replacements. This system is a core module of the fleet management service offered by Norco and delivers substantial savings in supply chain operating costs.

The benefits of this service are:
  • Sophisticated search facilities enabling the ability to find assets/agreements under any criteria
  • System shows asset ages, utilisation of fleet and associated costs and revenues
  • Bespoke reporting tool which can report on any aspect of your fleet
  • Provides the ability to utilise the fleet to its greatest efficiency, reducing the cost in capital spending
  • Ability to manage rental process from initial enquiry to end of order
  • Calculates and generates invoices

Norco Fleet Management

In addition to battery changing contracts, topping contracts, regular scheduled maintenance and priority response services, Norco offers the following fleet management services:

Norco Power for Life

Having recognised the need of the industry to reduce its whole of life contract costs and remove the burden of battery fleet issues, Norco have developed a unique Power for Life offering for replacing ageing battery fleets and supporting MHE fleet replacement programmes.

Norco Power for Life is a wholly service-driven offering that delivers an all-inclusive battery topping, maintenance, repair, cell replacement and product replacement programme for a defined term and for payment of a fixed monthly fee.

With the Norco Power for Life offering cost is linked to depreciation of the replacement asset during the period for which it is required, rather than to the total replacement cost of the asset. We charge a monthly service fee rather than an up front capital cost, ensuring a corporation tax deduction (where applicable) and smoother cash-flow.

This service is available on both old and new batteries.

Purchase Maintenance Package

Norco offer customers the opportunity to purchase batteries, chargers and handling equipment of any age from our expansive fleet (subject to stock). This gives us the opportunity to replace and renew our rental stock at all times throughout the year.

When you purchase any age battery from us we can bolt-on an inclusive maintenance package for a small fixed fee. If you choose to enter the Purchase Maintenance Package, along with your battery, you will receive:
  • Two service engineer visits per annum (Norco will schedule visits around you)
  • One hour per visit where our engineer can check any batteries on site at no additional cost
  • Any additional work requested can be completed with significant discounts on labour and parts
  • Free battery information guides, covering all aspects of battery safe keeping, including battery topping, battery spillages and health and safety information
