Bolzoni: a fork ahead

Right after the entry in the Italian Stock Exchange, in June 2006, Bolzoni puts the new resources in the acquisition of the German Group Meyer in October and for the launch of a new range of product: the lift truck and other material handling machines forks.

The Bolzoni Group accepts the challenge to enter in the forks market in January 2007 and begins the production in the Casoni di Podenzano plant, Piacenza, Italy.

The plant is the result of a completely innovative approach, thanks to the application of modern heat treatment technologies, and to an elevated automation level.

On a 2700 square meters site, the production process is a "one piece flow" type, during which forks are exclusively managed by robot, and monitored by a central system of supervision and control.

At last, each fork is stamped with a code, in order to grant the traceability of the recorded production processes, from the raw material batch, to the finished product.

The fork homologation is subject to the UNI ISO 2330 parameters. These are market under the "Bolzoni" brand, and are offered as a full range, in section and length and FEM hooks.

Bolzoni supplies forks to the European market, to be originally installed and for the after-market.
