Hangcha breaks ground on Thai facilityHangcha Group has broken ground on its new manufacturing base in Chonburi, Thailand which it says is a “significant step in its global strategy to expand its footprint and strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and beyond”.
Hangcha Group Thailand Manufacturing has been created with a USD20 million investment and will focus on manufacturing forklifts, aerial work platforms and lithium battery assembly.
The site is expected to be operating by the end of this year.
Located in a major industrial development zone, the project covers over 35,000sqm and, when completed, will have annual output of 10,000 units of forklifts, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Jason Wu, Hangcha’s VP of overseas markets, says the Thailand entity will boost production capacity and improve local services.
“This marks a key milestone in our global expansion,” Wu states. “The Thailand manufacturing base represents our shift from exporting products to exporting capabilities, from Made in China to Made for the World.
“The Thailand plant embodies our deep integration with local resources and our commitment to sustainable global growth.”
