Still has extended its LiftRunner system with the launch of three new frames.

The company notes the rising popularity of tugger train systems as “the method of choice when it comes to supplying production lines with the required parts just in sequence”.

The new BX frame features an asymmetrically offset axle and a new foldable drawbar. Together, these two components reduce the length of the tugger train and at the same time increase its directional stability, the company claims.

The new PE and PH frames feature a four-wheel steering system, which ensures high directional stability even at higher speeds, when cornering and braking. A sliding centre column on the new frames allows for loading and unloading from both sides.

While the PE frames are designed for indoor use and have a load capacity of up to 1,000 kg per trailer, the PH frames are built for demanding outdoor applications, boasting a robust design and large SE tyres. They can carry up to 1,600 kg per trailer.

The new models extend the LiftRunner portfolio of manual and automated tugger trains which, according to Still, increase efficiency and have additional advantages including stock minimisation, avoidance of errors, low manpower requirements, considerable traffic relief and effective cost reduction by reducing the number of forklifts.
