Logistics service provider Rhenus Group has acquired Setlog, a company that creates supply chain software.

Berlin-based Rhenus says there will be no change in day-to-day business for employees and customers of Setlog, who primarily come from the textile and apparel and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“With Setlog, we as Rhenus add a missing component to our offering for our customers,” says Tobias Koenig, chief commercial officer at Rhenus.

“The interlinking, complete transparency and control of the supply chain has become increasingly important in recent years, not least due to more volatile markets.

“We will continue to expand this together with Setlog.”

Setlog’s central product is the cloud-based software OSCA (Online Supply Chain Accelerator) that can connect supply chain partners, suppliers and service providers to optimally coordinate their supply chain.

The company was founded in 2001 by Guido Brackelsberg, Ralf Duester and Jakob Gielen.

“The merger with Rhenus immediately offers us another opportunity to respond to the constantly changing and increasingly complex requirements in logistics,” says co-founder Duester.

“The affinity of both companies and our complementary skills will therefore promote our growth in the long term.”

I know I can count on them. They give valuable suggestions on the campaign planning, and to publish content is as easy as abc, as they take care of the material layout and check links. This is a great support.
