Our thoughts this week are with the people of Türkiye (formerly Turkey) and Syria and our industry colleagues caught up in one of the worst disasters in recent times.
As the extent of the devastation unfolds, we are trying to reach out to our contacts in the region. We are reassured that the major manufacturers are in touch with their local representatives who seem largely unaffected, but with the scale of the earthquake, it would be unrealistic not to expect significant losses.
Again, we see the business community stepping up and the materials handling sector offering support, assistance and financial help, and we urge everyone to do what they can to speed up the recovery process for the decimated areas.
