Most listed companies in the materials handling sector have released their financial results in the past few weeks, and there has been plenty of interest in their sales performance. But this week, we have a couple of reminders that this industry is not just about profit and loss.
In this week's newsletter, we report on two charity efforts - one in China and one in the US. These are great illustrations that the forklift industry is a people industry and whenever the going gets tough, forklift companies show up with assistance.
Yes, other industries are also active in the community, but it's reassuring that despite tough trading conditions and intense competition, forklift players - big and small - can always be counted on.
