When the going gets tough, people rent equipment. That seems to be the reasoning behind the continued growth of the equipment rental industry, flagged again by the ranking of the US Rental Show among the biggest events in the country.
We continue to hear about the strength of the rental market on all continents - primarily because many end-users are reluctant to expand capital expenditure and are more likely to shift assets to operating expenditure. It also helps to get all-in-one solutions, with the equipment and maintenance bundled into a single package, with a predictable price tag.
So, long live rental ...
