Last week's European airline shutdown didn't stop Irish manufacturer Combilift from its international launch of two new products. Undaunted by the air traffic woes, the company pushed on with this media event at its Monaghan headquarters, and when it was over, managing director Martin McVicar was up at 5.0am to see off his guests - including Forkliftaction.com's UK representative Daren Thomas - for the epic journey that followed. For our colleague, it was by ferry, coach, train, the underground, the Heathrow express and finally a car drive home, 15 hours in total! "But at least we got back for the weekend, unlike lots of other people," says a grateful Daren.
