The Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar makes its return next February 7-9, 2023, and timing couldn’t be better! There is now a global recognition of hydrogen’s potential to reduce emissions across multiple sectors, including logistics, transportation, and power generation, as well as hard-to-abate areas such as heavy-duty trucking, marine and aviation applications, and industrial processes. Momentum and investment surrounding hydrogen and fuel cell technologies is growing at a rapid rate around the world and will converge in Long Beach, California, at the longest-running and most established industry conference in North America.
The Seminar will be one of first of the new year, and after a historic and pivotal 2022 for the industry, it is the perfect venue for long-time advocates and newcomers to the hydrogen and fuel cell scene to learn about the latest innovations, technological developments, and policy advances, as well as how to take advantage of the tremendous opportunities now available.
There is something for everyone at this event – kicking off with a half-day workshop from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office and welcome reception in the Exhibit Hall, then high-level morning plenaries and afternoon technical breakout sessions, with networking receptions on each of those nights. The Exhibit Hall will showcase a range of products from international companies representing the full supply chain of hydrogen production, distribution, and utilization. The afternoon Technical breakout sessions will feature several sessions and presentations focused on fuel cell systems and hydrogen for commercial and logistics vehicles at ports, airports, and on the roads, from leading companies, National Laboratories, and organizations.
It will be the third time the Seminar is held in Long Beach, which boasts numerous hydrogen and fuel cell demonstration projects and installations around the city. This includes two hydrogen fueling stations, with one more on the way, helping keep the thousands of fuel cell electric vehicles being used by consumers across the state moving. The Port of Long Beach has also long been a major hydrogen user, including operating a fleet of fuel cell trucks and other fuel cell-powered cargo handling equipment.
Long Beach also has two large-scale stationary fuel cell installations, with a 3 MW fuel cell plant at the Port running on biogas generated at a nearby dairy farm, and a 1.2 MW system at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
Whether your company is already familiar with hydrogen and fuel cells for material handling and logistics vehicles, or just now hearing about the environmental and economic benefits, the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar is the perfect event to get up to speed and make key connections with manufacturers, integrators, policymakers, and customers.
