Swiss materials handling dealer Arbor AG recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with three days of festivities at its premises in Lindental, Bern. 

More than 1,000 people joined the celebrations, marking a journey which began in 1962 with a sideloader from the Swedish brand LMV, and sees the family company currently employing over 65 people and offering a diverse range of products, including forklifts, four-way forklifts, telehandlers, heavy-duty forklifts, transportable forklifts and work platforms.

Managing director Andreas Stettler, who began his career at Arbor in 1992 as an agricultural machinery mechanic, sees the anniversary as an opportunity to continue the success story: “This anniversary is something very special for me. I am extremely proud of the Arbor team and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their excellent work. For the 60th anniversary, our order books are well filled. We look to the future with great satisfaction and confidence and continue to strive for continuous growth.”

Guests at the celebration included representatives of key suppliers Baumann, Cesab, Combilift, Dieci, Haulotte, Svetruck and Terberg.

The event included an ‘innovation show’ with presentations on tunnel construction, apprenticeship training and solar charging batteries.
