The annual US materials handling and logistics show went digital this year, with ProMatDX (Digital eXperience) held online from April 12- 16.
Participation statistics have not yet been released, but the virtual event featured the traditional mix of keynote presentations, workshops and product demonstrations.
One of the highlights was the release of the
2021 MHI Annual Industry Report - Innovation Driven Resilience.
The 2021 report found that the adoption of supply chain is increasing dramatically due to the impacts of COVID-19 disruption, with 49% of supply chain leaders accelerating their spending in digital technologies to make their operations more responsive and forward-looking during the pandemic.
The report concluded that companies which embrace a digital mindset can open the door to greater performance and success by leveraging the latest digital technologies to inspire and drive experimentation, ingenuity and innovation.
The virtual event also saw the announcement of the 2021 MHI Innovation Awards.
