Bjorn Saven, Konecranes' chairman since 1984, has been appointed board vice chairman.

Matti Ruotsala has been appointed AGCO Corporation vice president and managing director for Valtra Europe, Africa, Middle East and Valtra Oy. Valtra EAME is part of US-based AGCO Corp, a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment. Ruotsala was chief operating officer of Konecranes between 2001 and March 2005.
Portman Equipment Company has promoted three managers to top-level positions.
Edward J Neyer has been named president and assumes leadership of all nine locations covering Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia.
Jack C Whitney has been promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer, responsible for Portman's quality and training programs, and service sectors of the business.
Patrick McDermott was appointed senior vice president, sales and marketing, moving from the company's Monroe facility, where he was formerly vice-president and general manager of the Portman Blue Ash business campus.
