CTI Logistics is seeing benefits from moving to a single materials handling supplier.

With 28 facilities nationwide and over 200,000 sqm of warehousing under roof, CTI Logistics has grown to become a nationwide transport and logistics company, with involvement from couriers and taxi trucks to parcels, linehaul truck operations, fleet management, 3PL warehousing and supply chain solutions.

A move into contract warehousing was the initial driver for its move to Linde forklifts. "That's when we moved away from two other suppliers for the smaller forklifts we were using," says Neil Raspa, general manager, supply chain logistics. "We started to bring Linde forklifts into the business because we found them to be a better product - safe, robust and reliable."

Raspa says Linde is always ready to bring new concepts to the table and to show flexibility.

"For our national expansion, we have been able to deal with one service provider across the country to meet our challenges in each of the states for servicing of our various client needs. We have to provide a high level of service. Same-day pick, pack and deliver is becoming the norm."

He says Linde has experts in every location, "whether to solve a specific challenge around forklifts or what we might need to do for a customer. We've found that their national network has really worked for us."

"Being a multi-site operation, one of the challenges we have is to get visibility on the whole fleet," says Luke Yeoman, CTI Logistics' corporate services manager. "With the Linde FleetFOCUS solution, we can see what the fleet is doing, the utilisation of each truck, key time on, engine on, lifting times, etc. That gives us a great platform where we can plan for the future."

It’s the year 2000. You’re in front of a boxy beige desktop waiting for the screeching ramblings of your dial-up to reach its finale. You go to Yahoo!, MSN, or maybe AOL, and start the mind-numbing process of finding your very specific needle in the digital haystack. And with web pages loading one image at a time, patience isn’t just a virtue – it’s a requirement!

As clumsy as this early iteration seems now, this technology was the great enabler that allowed Forkliftaction to connect to the industry across the globe.

To everyone who has connected with Forkliftaction in the past 25 years, thank you for your contribution to our success! We feel deeply touched by your words of encouragement.

Words of support …

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
