MEC has expanded its equipment range with the release of two new machines.

The new Micro 19 scissor lift extends the scissor lift range with the maker's first offering in the micro class of scissors. The Micro 19 fits into small and tight work areas and also delivers all the benefits of extended duty cycles and faster drive speeds shared by the full direct electric drive line.

"As with most of our new product development projects, we started out by listening to our customers' needs," says Gary Crook, vice president of engineering. "Following the phenomenal reception of the 1330 from our customers, we reacted to their request for a machine of similar dimensions that could satisfy the applications traditional 19 ft. (6 m) machines achieve. Today's construction business packs more utilities, safety and security systems into new buildings and in the maintenance of existing buildings, so we felt they needed an ultra-compact machine to fit those tight work areas."

Also new from MEC is the 45-AJ, a 45 ft.(14 m) articulated boom lift. With a 48 HP diesel Kubota engine, the 45-AJ is the only machine in its class to offer 360 degree continuous rotation. It is fully featured, with solid rough terrain tyres, 6 ft. (2 m) wide three-sided entry platform with swing gate, powerful 4WD, and oscillating front axle.

"With our 45-AJ, we were looking to expand our boom line with a product that demonstrates our values for full-featured, rugged, simple and reliable boom lifts. We believe this machine delivers those values and provides best-in-class productivity with the continuous rotation. We are excited to continue the expansion of our boom line," says MEC president David White.

MEC Aerial Work Platforms is a manufacturer of arerial work platforms ranging from DC drive slab scissors to rough-terrain booms with patented and award-winning design features.

Forkliftaction's JOB MARKET

It’s the year 2000. You’re in front of a boxy beige desktop waiting for the screeching ramblings of your dial-up to reach its finale. You go to Yahoo!, MSN, or maybe AOL, and start the mind-numbing process of finding your very specific needle in the digital haystack. And with web pages loading one image at a time, patience isn’t just a virtue – it’s a requirement!

As clumsy as this early iteration seems now, this technology was the great enabler that allowed Forkliftaction to connect to the industry across the globe.

To everyone who has connected with Forkliftaction in the past 25 years, thank you for your contribution to our success! We feel deeply touched by your words of encouragement.
