Manitou Spain's Alcalá de Henares complex

Manitou Group has opened the new facilities of Manitou Spain in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid.

The company is hailing the move as a confirmation of its confidence in its potential growth into the Iberian market.

The new location, very close to Madrid, has an area of 10,000 sqm and boasts a 4,600 sqm facility housing the official dealership for Madrid and Toledo.

The new premises allow Manitou Group to exhibit its wide range of machinery and serve a greater number of customers in a more efficient way, according to a company statement. This move will also benefit nearly 30 employees who make up the Manitou Spain team.

The site includes modern workshops where technicians are able to operate in complete safety with improved efficiency.

The complex also features independent offices and a large warehouse with a loading dock to speed up the transfer of the machines.

Joao Hebil, managing director of Manitou Spain, says the added space of the new premises will allow the company to optimise its services. "We will offer a wider range of products to our customers, while being closer to our network of distributors."

The new headquarters of Manitou Spain, adjacent to the Manitou Centre, has an amphitheater designed to host presentations and seminars, as well as several dedicated training rooms. The training centre, which occupies 250 sqm, is expected to receive around 300 people per year, running three training sessions simultaneously.

Hebil also stresses the ideal location of the new complex, close to one of the main access roads to the capital and next to the airport.
