Alta Enterprises, trading as Alta Equipment, has completed its acquisition of Northland Industrial Truck Co and its construction equipment group, Northland JCB.

NITCO and Northland JCB will operate as wholly owned subsidiaries of Alta, with Alan Hammersley continuing as president and chief executive officer of NITCO and Northland JCB, now reporting to Ryan Greenawalt, president and chief executive officer of Alta.

The acquisition of NITCO, announced on March 6th, will provide Alta with six branch locations in five states in the New England market. Alta will now have nearly 1,300 employees operating out of 30 facilities across eight states.

â??I am pleased to now be a part of the Alta family and excited about what we can achieve together,â? says Hammersley. â??We will work to ensure our customers have a seamless transition and continue to receive the outstanding level of service they have come to expect and deserve.â?

â??As a leader in both the materials handling and construction equipment industries in the New England region, NITCO was an ideal fit for Altaâ??s growth strategy,â? says Greenawalt. â??NITCO was an award-winning dealer known for providing great customer service and we look forward to continuing that tradition.â?

Financial details of the transaction remain confidential.

With operations in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana, Alta is headquartered in Livonia, Michigan with 24 locations in the Great Lakes region. Alta Equipment is a full-line materials handling and construction equipment distributor, offering new and used equipment, long- and short-term rentals, parts and service solutions and fleet management programs.
