Attachments competence from the Bavarian Lower Main. The exhibition appearance of KAUP GmbH & Co. KG (KAUP) could take place under this motto at the 17th LogiMAT from February 19 to 21, 2019. The Aschaffenburg machine builder is specifically not bringing a large selection of attachments to Stuttgart for this. Instead, the focus should be on discussions, exchange of ideas and consultancy on all aspects of attachments for forklifts. "This time we want to focus mainly on our knowledge and consulting expertise in all aspects of attachments," says KAUP Managing Director Holger Kaup, explaining the idea behind the exhibition appearance. "We don't need to exhibit a sample of each model family for this," continues Holger Kaup, "because personal contact is also important in times of digitalisation".

"Smart" accessories for KAUP attachments

KAUP will of course also be exhibiting attachments at the "International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management". Telescopic forks T180CT and a rotating roll clamp T458B will be exhibited in Stuttgart. The choice fell on these tools because they have been equipped with new 'smart' features just in time for the new year. For example, the telescopic fork can be equipped with a length measurement function, also known as depth sensing. This shows the forklift driver in the cockpit exactly how far his telescopic forks are extended. This reduces the risk of accidents.

Also with the rotating roll clamp, the 'smart' cannot be discovered at first glance. For all roll clamps, it is concealed in a silver box in the middle of the modular rotary transmission. With their individual control modules, for example, pressurising valves can be adjusted so that the clamp arms are closed one after the other and not simultaneously. Numerous other possibilities can be envisaged. Another new development makes roll clamps 'smart': the roll clamp force gauge. This accessory measures the exact clamping forces of roller clamps and helps to avoid damage to the transported goods by selecting the correct clamping force. Positive side effect: The integrated documentation of the measurements ensures clarity in the event of a dispute as to which transported goods were handled with which clamping force.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
