Cesab Material Handling has continued to strengthen its UK coverage with the signing of Champion Materials Handling as the authorised Cesab dealer for Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.

Champion Materials Handling was founded in 1995 by Derek Martin, a Forklift Truck Association board director with over 40 years' industry experience. Headquartered in Southbourne, Bournemouth, the family business includes director Greg Martin, with five mobile service engineers providing 24-hour service and support to customers across Dorset and beyond.

The decision to join the Cesab network was prompted by Champion's experience working with Cesab products and a recommendation from another Cesab UK dealership.

"We were familiar with the Cesab brand because we've previously managed a few of their machines in our fleet," Greg Martin explains. "We are impressed with the build quality and reliability.

"When Hitec Lift Trucks in Wellingborough suggested we talk to Cesab on a more formal basis, we identified strong potential for both parties. We will benefit from an ongoing relationship with a reputable manufacturer, including access to the latest models and fast delivery of parts. We can also support Cesab as it grows the brand in the UK and increase sales in this region."

Miles Griffin, general manager, Cesab Material Handling UK, says: "Ambitious, positive and proactive dealerships are always welcome at Cesab and Champion Materials Handling, with its wealth of experience and excellent reputation across Dorset, fits the bill. I am confident the team will be an asset to our network and the move will enable their customers to continually improve their productivity through our combined manufacturing, service and support capabilities."
