UK rental company Fletcher Access has taken delivery of a 42 m Ommelift 4200 RBDJ spider lift.

The new machine, mounted on non-marking rubber tracks, features a hybrid power pack and provides an outreach of up to 15.2 m with a 230 kg maximum platform capacity.

The new model is now the highest platform in the Fletcher fleet, topping a 27 m Omme spider lift.

The new spider lift went straight to work cleaning windows on a high rise tower block.

Fletcher ordered the new machine with a hydraulic hose connection to the basket to enable safe and efficient pressure washing at height.

"The hose to basket option was vital for us as we carry out a lot of high level cleaning work on glass, cladding and solar panels," says co-owner Simon Fletcher.

Fletcher Access purchased the Ommelift 4200 RBDJ from Access Platform Sales (APS), a leading independent distributor of powered access platforms.

It’s the year 2000. You’re in front of a boxy beige desktop waiting for the screeching ramblings of your dial-up to reach its finale. You go to Yahoo!, MSN, or maybe AOL, and start the mind-numbing process of finding your very specific needle in the digital haystack. And with web pages loading one image at a time, patience isn’t just a virtue – it’s a requirement!

As clumsy as this early iteration seems now, this technology was the great enabler that allowed Forkliftaction to connect to the industry across the globe.

To everyone who has connected with Forkliftaction in the past 25 years, thank you for your contribution to our success! We feel deeply touched by your words of encouragement.
