Twenty-two materials handling supplier companies have been awarded the inaugural MVS (Most Valuable Supplier) Award for 2016.

MHEDA, the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association, created the award to publicly recognise its supplier members who have made it a point to support their dealers and MHEDA.

Award winners have successfully demonstrated a commitment to safety in addition to documenting their company's activities in five key areas of excellence: "industry advocacy, distributor advocacy, business networking, continuing education and business best practice."

"MHEDA members represent the best of our industry; and those who earn the MVS Award have documented that excellence and commitment to their dealers, community, employees and the material handling industry," says Scott Lee, MHEDA's 2016 chairman of the board and president of Container Solutions. "MHEDA is very proud of our MVS Award winners." ?

The MVS Awards complement the Most Valuable Partner Awards which recognise "a commitment to business excellence, professionalism and good stewardship".

Recently, 39 dealers were honoured with MVP citations.
