Motrac Intern Transport has expanded its operations with the opening of a used equipment showroom in Apeldoorn.

The new facility stocks between 450 and 500 machines, with current stock ranging from an electrical pallet truck to a 16 T forklift.

The inventory includes used Linde equipment, all refurbished to international Linde-approved standards, according to Edwin van Asselt, branch manager of Used Equipment Center.

Motrac is the exclusive importer of the Linde brand in the Netherlands.

Van Asselt says the company has a 60-year history of forklift knowledge and experience and has grown into three branches and three sub-dealers.

Motrac also has a strong service offering, with around 135 mechanics in the field.

The used equipment business arose from the Linde activities, with a recognition of the opportunities in the used equipment market.

"This idea came from the trends in re-manufacturing and re-use of capital-expensive equipment," van Asselt tells Forkliftaction News.

The Used Equipment Center employs 12 people, including sales people and technicians.

Founded in 1954, Motrac employs around 300 people at its facilities, including two large sites in Zwijndrecht and Almere.
