Pyroban's System 6000 solution combines a range of explosion-protection methods that make forklifts ATEX compliant. |
Pyroban will close its Lyon office in France and the office's customer services function for France and Spain will be integrated into the company's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) service centres.
"We have a fresh approach to customer service that will enable us to give our customers a more accurate, direct and ultimately faster service," explains Matthew Shirkie, industrial commercial manager, EMEA.
"Today, as the market and technology has evolved, an office in France is no longer required for us to achieve this.
"The closure of this subsidiary is part of the consolidation strategy of the Pyroban Group and our dedicated sales presence will continue to develop the business across the regional markets, driving to improve overall customer satisfaction."
Pyroban will continue to provide sales and installation services on customer sites throughout the region. The company will also continue to offer hazardous area consulting and training services in the region, in support of companies complying with European and local legislation.
Customers can expect faster response time with the centralisation of the service centre.
"Our focus in France and Spain remains dedicated to support planned and unplanned maintenance of explosion-protected forklifts and provide the very best advice and support during the sales process," Shirkie says.
Pyroban provides explosion-protection conversions for any forklift brand, with production undertaken in the Netherlands or the UK, depending on the type of truck. All forklift conversions are ATEX 94/9/EC compliant and are typically used in the chemical supply chain and related industries where flammable material is handled.
