Van Gent Forklift Parts has been appointed as the official Dutch distributor of Unigom tyres.

A Van Gent spokesman says the importation agreement "means that Unigom can carry on its good name and fame in the Dutch market with a solid partner in the forklift (sector)".

Van Gent has a track record of forklift parts and accessories distribution spanning almost 50 years, and is looking forward to a long-term relationship with the Belgian tyre manufacturer.

Family-owned Unigom has been manufacturing tyres for 40 years, and Van Gent says its Solidboy range has been a market leader for over 10 years.

Van Gent will service local demand from its central warehouse in Nijmegen, and is committed to sufficient stock levels to "guarantee a fast delivery". The new line will be supported by Van Gent's team of 12 forklift specialists.

Based in Mijmegen, Van Gent Forklift Parts is one of the largest suppliers of forklift parts in Europe. Originally dedicated to Hyster parts, Van Gent's range has grown to include parts for Japanese, German, Korean and even Italian forklift brands.
