Neff Rental assisted with a project at a US Marine Corps housing project |
A US Marine Corps air ground combat centre listened to contractors praise the responsiveness and safe practices of a Neff Rental branch and rewarded the firm's performance.
After the branch received an initial call, A Neff representative visited the site in April 2013 and discovered the contractors were experiencing difficulty in meeting the schedule for the three-year multi-million-dollar construction of a bachelors' enlisted quarters housing project. Quickly, Neff Rental responded to the contractors' needs.
Among the 20 pieces of Genie, JLG, Deere and Case equipment now in use, Neff Rental's San Bernardino branch supplied reach forklifts with lifting capacities of 10,000 lb. (4,500 kg) and 8,000 lb. (3,600 kg), boom lifts for elevations up to 80 ft. (24.4 m) and 40 ft. (12.2 m), back hoes and skip loaders.
Capt Marko Medved, officer in charge of construction for Marine Corps installations west,
presented the appreciation award to Gilbert Hernandez, Neff Rental western region government sales manager, at an 18 November executive safety forum at the training facility of the naval facilities engineering command at Twentynine Palms, California.
Privately held Florida-based Neff Rental has more than 1,000 employees and operates 64 branches in 14 states in the US south, mid-Atlantic, south-west and west regions.
