TVH Australasia, supplier of replacement parts and accessories to the material handling industry, has bought the forklift parts business activities of EMC, effective 1 February.

TVH managing director Peter Millikin says the company will integrate EMC operations and staff into local TVH branches immediately except for the Melbourne West branch which operate as the 'TVH Sunshine' branch.

He says the company's priority and responsibility to its customers is to maintain a high level of service including the ongoing development of replacement parts "with the intention to best partner customers' businesses so that we grow together in the future."

In the meantime, EMC Group, which retains its attachments and fork arms supply side of the business, has announced plans to change its name effective end January to Attollo Australia.

Managing director Stefan Marschner says the name change will reposition the company as an independent, local supplier and manufacturer of attachments and fork arms to the materials handling industry.

"Along with the change of name, we plan to bring new initiatives and skills to our business plus new investments in our plant in Brisbane with a focus on local manufacturing flexibility and capacity," says Marschner.

It’s the year 2000. You’re in front of a boxy beige desktop waiting for the screeching ramblings of your dial-up to reach its finale. You go to Yahoo!, MSN, or maybe AOL, and start the mind-numbing process of finding your very specific needle in the digital haystack. And with web pages loading one image at a time, patience isn’t just a virtue – it’s a requirement!

As clumsy as this early iteration seems now, this technology was the great enabler that allowed Forkliftaction to connect to the industry across the globe.

To everyone who has connected with Forkliftaction in the past 25 years, thank you for your contribution to our success! We feel deeply touched by your words of encouragement.

Words of support …

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
