Caroline Diaz, an apprentice at Komatsu Forklift's Sydney branch, has been named Apprentice of the Year - Other (Automotive) in the 2013 1300apprentice awards.
1300apprentice is a not-for-profit group training company that employs about 300 apprentices and trainees across 40 vocational areas.
Diaz, now in her final year of a forklift mechanical apprenticeship at Komatsu, was also awarded Snap-On 'Rising Star' Apprentice of the Year in 2013.

Forkliftaction.com News the company has 10 apprentices, a number it has retained over the past four years.
He says the company values apprentices as the key to future customer satisfaction.
"Apprentices and technicians trained in Komatsu products will hold a full understanding of 'The Komatsu Way' and can truly embrace the Komatsu corporate philosophy of quality and reliability.
"Caroline [is] a great asset to the Sydney branch with her attention to detail and enthusiasm to learn her trade."
Service manager Stewart O' Donnell says Caroline's dedication to her training plan has set the standard for all apprentices who follow her.
