Toyota Material Handling Nederland (TMH NL) has opened the doors of its new premises, uniting all its business activities under one roof.

On 26 September, TMH NL managing director Pank Hertsenberg officially opened the new building at Stevinlaan 4 in Ede, which is near the A12 highway.

The warehouse and offices have been consolidated in one building. A huge 75 by 10.5 m (246 by 346 ft.) window has views of the Toyota Material Handling warehouse.

"Placing all our activities in one location allows us to further improve our internal processes and to better serve our customers. We have established strong foundations on which to grow further," Hertsenberg says.

TMH NL says the open and airy offices have been equipped with bamboo flooring and "offer an excellent working environment", with natural light and modern facilities. The roof of the building boasts 105 solar panels, which produce 21,000 kWh annually, which the company uses to charge its energy-efficient forklift solutions. Together with battery suppliers Celectric, Hoppecke and GNB, TMH NL is testing innovative technology with the aim of making it available to customers.

Another sustainable feature of the new premises is the use of LED lights in the hallways. They are equipped with motion detectors and daylight control sensors to minimise energy wastage. Heated ceiling panels and an air pump also replace traditionally inefficient radiators and airconditioning systems.

The 9,000 sqm (96,875 sqft.) warehouse and workshop, and 2,600 sqm (27,986 sqft.) offices make up the building that is rented from Ede-based Bruil Holding.

There are no job openings with the move to the new premises, but TMH says it has ongoing vacancies for service engineers and sales representatives as it aims to grow in its market coverage.

Words of support …

I know I can count on them. They give valuable suggestions on the campaign planning, and to publish content is as easy as abc, as they take care of the material layout and check links. This is a great support.
