Emission control specialist Nett Technologies Inc has added to its PTLOG-brand family.

The PTLOG 270SCR advanced data monitor and logger is designed to monitor, log and provide alerts relating to the activities of Nett's select catalytic reduction (SCR) emission control system. Development of the new unit began in September.

Nett conducted beta tests for about six months prior to the May launch. Beta-testing involved 20 different units with several customers.

The 4.3 in. (10 cm) screen displays 16-bit colour with a resolution of 480x272 pixels.

The emission data logger automatically collects, time stamps and displays sensor and warning-related messages from the Blue MAX-brand group of SCR emission control systems.

"The PTLOG 270SCR data logger is a welcomed addition to our product line," says Mohammad Pournazeri, head of research and development for Nett products. The software is flashable and upgradable.

The data logger uses a Freescale iMX35, 32-bit 532-MHz processor and monitors a SCR emission control system in real time.

In 2010, Nett introduced the PTLOG 150 engine exhaust back-pressure monitor and alarm that continuously checks exhaust back-pressure levels of vehicles equipped with a Nett diesel particulate filter. If an engine's back-pressure exceeds pre-set levels, multi-coloured light emitting diodes warn the vehicle's operator. In addition, the PTLOG 150 has built-in relay triggers to control additional relay-controlled indicator lights, audible alarms or other devices.
