Get Your Game On is the theme for the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) convention from 4-8 May at the JW Marriott Desert Springs resort and spa in Palm Desert, California.
Scott Hennie, president of Elite Supply Chain Solutions LLC of Strongsville, Ohio, is chairman of MHEDA's 58th annual convention. Elite Supply is a design/build firm specialising in materials handling systems.
The gathering will offer six general sessions, 16 education sessions, a three-hour tabletop showcase for more than 80 exhibitors of materials handling equipment and services, a networking roundtable discussion and organised tours of local attractions.
General sessions will feature the following speakers:
* Veteran economist Alan Beaulieu, president of the Institute for Trend Research of Boscawen, New Hampshire, on "The Next Economic Cycle";
* Motivational speaker Eric Chester, CEO of Reviving Work Ethic Inc of Lakewood, Colorado, on "Reviving Work Ethic";
* Sales motivator and individual development expert Warren Greshes of Durham, North Carolina on "Make My Life Easier: What the 21st Century Client Really Wants";
* Professional speaker, guitarist and comedian Mike Rayburn of Las Vegas, Nevada on "What If"
* Steve Szilagyi, senior vice president of distribution for Lowe's Companies Inc of Mooresville, North Carolina, on "Principles of Leadership"; and
* Speaker, advisor, author and entertainer Garrison Wynn of Houston, Texas on "What the Top 1% Do Differently".
