NZ man crushed by forklift

Christchurch Police have released the identity of a man killed in a workplace accident in Hornby on Monday.

Neville Raymond Sutherland, aged 30, a resident of Christchurch, was employed as a driver for Charter Transport.

The Otago Daily Times reported that the driver was delivering a large generator when a forklift removing it from his truck toppled over, crushing him to death.

The matter is being investigated by the New Zealand Labour Department and Police.
