KOOI®-Systems offers load-transfer clean-room unitMany applications, such as Food and Pharmaceuticals, simply cannot allow the use of wooden pallets due to hygiene restrictions and/or contamination risks. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice, (GMP), guidelines and U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration, (FDA), regulations are all set in place to help ensure public health safety. What can they do to comply?
Meijer Handling Solutions
KOOI-Systems product range now includes stand-alone Stationary "Push/Pull" systems, (SPI). The
SPI systems provides a highly efficient and cost effective means of transferring unit loads from one load carrier to another. It's especially useful for keeping wooden pallets outside of cleanroom areas in order to comply with hygiene regulations. The SPI is used to transfer goods from one load carrier to another within a cleanroom area where no wood is allowed due to hygiene regulations. This compact unit provides the beneficial features of a
hydraulic push/pull attachment, (for
slip-sheet handling), without the added expense of a dedicated forklift truck and an additional operator. This saves money through cost avoidance while improving efficiency and helping to reduce contamination risks. Loads are easily pulled from one pallet onto another. Delicate loads are safely transferred without the risks often associated with clamping or pushing. This reduces product damage and repackaging costs.
SPI w/Rotation: One of the latest developments is a unit which has been combined with a rotating lift table offering a compact, space saving load transfer station that allows the forklift operator to remain on the lift truck during the quick and easy transfer. The unit is placed in front of a small door connecting the clean room area to the finished goods warehouse. The SPI pulls a slip-sheeted unit load off the clean-room pallet and onto an outbound shipping pallet. The unit then rotates 180° allowing the forklift to retrieve the loaded pallet for transfer into storage or outbound shipping. This allows clean-room equipment and pallets to remain isolated from outside contact reducing contamination risks for the operation. The value added benefits of improved safety, quick transfer cycles and space savings, reduce costs for the end user.
KOOI-ROLLERFORKS®/Push-Pull with optional fork positioningROLLERFORKS® Push-Pulls combine the cost-saving benefits of
ROLLERFORKS® along with proven push-pull technology creating a revolutionary pallet-less handling solution. The end result is a unit which outperforms conventional push-pull units while offering lower maintenance costs. The combo unit is especially beneficial for unloading operations. The ROLLERFORKS® allow quick and easy handling and placement of floor-loaded pallet-less goods meaning the hydraulic portion of the attachment is only needed for separating double-stacked slip-sheeted loads or when removing a slip-sheeted load from a pallet. This combined features reduce handling cycle times outperforming other push-pulls. It's also easy to use and inexpensive to maintain because the pantograph mechanism is not used as frequently as standard push/pulls.
The key value added benefit of the
KOOI-ROLLERFORKS®/Push-Pull is the versatility it provides to the end user. Not only can it handle slip-sheeted load but, it can also be used for conventional pallet handling operations. This means the forklift truck does not have to be dedicated to a single operation.
The latest cost saving enhancement includes optional fork positioning. Hydraulic fork positioning allows the operator to quickly adjust the fork spread for easy entry into different pallet pockets or to support slip-sheeted loads with differing stack designs of product
Rollerforks® Push-Pull with hydraulic forkpositioner. The adjustment allows for the best load support for safe transport within the warehouse. The versatility of the fork positioning not only saves time but it also helps reduce product damage and repacking costs.
