BT has introduced the OME100N man-up stacker to the European market.

Manufactured at its Mjölby plant, the stacker has a lift capacity of 1,000kg (2,204.6lbs) and a maximum lift height of 3.4 metres (11.2 feet).

According to BT, the rising cab ensures the operator is always close to the load carrier and allows strain-free access to goods. Optional folding side gates and overhead guards provide protection for the operator.

The OME100N has a top speed of 12km/h (7.5 miles/h).

For bulky item handling, there is the OME100NW model with a fenced-in load area and folding side gates as standard.

Both models have the E-man tiller arm offering power steering and can be safely operated with one hand. BT says they have excellent manoeuvrability thanks to their narrow chassis.

Toyota Material Handling Europe product manager Charlotta Björklund says the OME100N stackers will soon be available outside Europe.

She will not, however, reveal the company's sales target for the product.

The stacker was showcased at the HI Industri trade show in Denmark from September 4 to 7.
