The integration of two established brands in the Pacific North West, Raymond West Intralogistics Solutions and Toyota Lift Northwest, has seen the creation of a new materials handling entity which expects its combined annual revenue to exceed USD1 billion.
Both companies will continue to operate under their own branding, with Raymond West chief executive officer James Wilcox leading the new entity. Ashwini Wankhede will remain president and chief operating officer of Toyota Lift Northwest.
Toyota Lift Northwest was founded in Portland, Oregon, 57 years ago to fulfil local demand for Toyota forklifts in the Pacific North West and now services Washington and Oregon. It sells and rents new and used materials handling equipment including rough-terrain, IC pneumatic tyre and IC cushion tyre forklifts, pickers and reachers, pallet jacks and stackers.
Raymond West Intralogistics Solutions, whose founder, George Raymond, patented the double-faced wooden pallet in 1939, was founded 75 years ago and now services the West Coast from Washington to Alaska. The company specialises in end-to-end logistics solutions and equipment sales, rentals and servicing.
The “strategic alliance” of the two companies sees a combined workforce of more than 1,600 people across 29 service locations on the West Coast.
