Lansing Linde Ltd will change its name to Linde Material Handling (UK) Ltd on December 1 to "fully exploit the international strength" of the Linde brand.
Lansing Linde was established when Linde acquired Lansing in 1989 to capitalise on Linde's global resources and Lansing's local profile.
The manufacturing, sales and marketing operations at Basingstoke and Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, and eight network companies comprising 25 customer support centres, will now combine under the Linde brand.
Linde UK joint managing director Wolfgang Geuecke said: "We wanted to sharpen our focus and increase our competitiveness. All customers and partners should be clear about who they're dealing with.
"Our relentless pursuit of higher productivity, while driving down servicing costs, lies at the heart of the Linde difference."
Linde UK employs more than 2,500 people in the UK, and has a turnover of GBP200 million (USD333.9 million).
