BMW Group has announced it will nominate Dr Nicolas Peter for the role of chairman of its Supervisory Board at its 2025 Annual General Meeting, with him having served a two year cooling off period from having held any positions with BMW AG.
Peter will replace Norbert Reithofer who will finish his second consecutive term on the Board. Reithofer will not stand for re-election which is in accordance with the standard age limit set by the Supervisory Board.
Currently Peter chairs the audit committee with KION Group’s Supervisory Body.
He brings to the role his extensive international experience having been a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for finance, from January 2017 to May 2023. Peter has also held various management positions in finance and sales at the BMW Group, including in several European markets and is a former chairman of the Board of Directors of BMW Brilliance Automotive.
Michael Cavanuagh
KPI Solutions - United States
Michael Cavanaugh has been appointed chief executive officer with warehouse automation supplier KPI Solutions, following the retirement of Larry Strayhorn.
Strayhorn has retired after a 40-plus year career in the materials handling sector, held a position on the MHI Board of Governors and was a key figure in the 2021 formation of US-based KPI Solutions. Strayhorn will join KPI’s Board of Directors.
Cavanaugh brings more than 20-years of executive leadership experience having worked with multi-nationals including Smiths Group, General Electric and Honeywell.
