Cesar Jimenez has been promoted to the new role of vice president of regulatory affairs, product planning and product assurance at Toyota Material Handling, responsible for the company’s product line from pre-development to launch.
Jimenez, who began his career at Toyota as a college intern in 1996, has worked as a product planning engineer and product marketing manager.
He joined the Toyota executive team in 2015 and has helped launch more than 50 material handling products.
“Cesar’s knowledge of our products, commitment to our customers and dedication to quality make him the ideal person for this position,” says Toyota Material Handling senior vice president of operations, engineering and strategic planning Tony Miller.
Jimenez has also served as the Industrial Truck Association’s vice chair and chair of both the energy storage systems subcommittee and the general engineering committee.
“I am excited to embrace the challenges of this new role and to contribute to Toyota’s continued success by providing products and solutions that solve our customers’ evolving problems,” Jimenez says.
Steve Noakes
Pioneer Safety Group - United Kingdom
Pyroban managing director Steve Noakes has been appointed managing director of the recently expanded Pioneer Safety Group.
Noakes will continue his current duties at Pyroban, which offers explosion protection solutions for materials handling equipment, diesel engines and offshore equipment.
Pioneer Safety Group comprises Pyroban, Pyropress, Euro Access, and the recently acquired Ex-tech Signalling and Ex-tech Solution.
Noakes says: “I’m excited to lead the group’s growth as we look to the future.
“We’ll be seeking even more opportunities to develop closer relationships with our customers through a diverse range of safety and hazardous area products aligned to specific end user needs.
“The international customers and global OEMs we work with know how committed we are to providing the service they need to protect people, their investment and our environment.”
Within the group, UK-based Pyropress will continue making flameproof (Ex d) and intrinsically safe (Ex i) switches and transmitters to monitor pressure, temperature and fluid level, while France-based Ex-tech Solution will continue making Exd and Exe enclosures, limit switches, rotary switches, indication lights and motor control stations.
Dan Bryan
Tompkins Solutions - United States
Tompkins Solutions has hired experienced logistics executive Dan Bryan as vice president of sales.
Bryan was previously partner and vice president at Blue Spring Partners. He has also also held senior management positions with Overstock.com, iFit (formerly Icon Health and Fitness) and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
“Dan’s extensive background in supply chain and logistics and demonstrated success helping companies achieve revenue targets and reduce costs will be invaluable to both our clients and our organisation,” says Tompkins Solutions chief executive officer David Latona.
Jesse Shultz
Mobicon Systems - United States
Mobicon Systems general manager Jesse Shultz will relocate to the United States as the company expands into the North and Central American markets.
Shultz will leave Brisbane, Australia, where Mobicon System has been based for more than 25 years, and move to Houston, Texas.
Mobicon mini-straddle carriers are used throughout Europe, the USA, the UK, Asia, Africa and Oceania.
