Ballard Power Systems has announced the retirement of Duy-Loan Le from the board of directors for personal reasons.
Jim Roche, Ballard’s chairman, says: “Duy-Loan has been a valued member of the Ballard board of directors since 2017. She made important contributions to the board’s work during this period, given her deep insights on technology development and commercialisation, and complemented by her integrity, empathy and humanity.
“We wish Duy-Loan well in her future endeavours.”

GTMaritime - United Kingdom
GTMaritime has made three new appointments in response to rapidly rising demand in data traffic.
The company has appointed Anthony O’Hagan to the newly created role of business information analyst. Taking ownership of GTMaritime’s commercial and operational datasets, O’Hagan has been tasked with their consolidation within a central database. Once completed, the resource is expected to offer new and original tools to support actionable, data-driven decision-making in communications.
In a second appointment, Daniel Doyle has joined GTMaritime as user interface designer, in a role which is also new for the company. Doyle has been tasked with enhancing the design of user-centric front-end solutions for new and existing GTMaritime products, working alongside fellow developers, external designers and the wider GTMaritime team to coordinate application design and functionality.
Meanwhile, Antonis Kalaitzis has joined GTMaritime as technical sales engineer, in a specialised technical support role based in Greece which responds to rising regional demand. Kalaitzis brings with him a wealth of experience in computer technology and maritime satellite communications.

Lifting Equipment Engineers Association - United Kingdom
Jenny Eagle is joining the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) Media Comms team.
In this role, Eagle will be helping to promote LEEA members’ news and its in-house event, LiftEx, in Liverpool (November 21-22, 2023) and The 2023 LEEA Awards.
Eagle is a British journalist with 22 years of experience working for international publications including The Daily Mail, The Sunday Telegraph, The Sun, The Mirror and The Press Association. Career highlights include working with the European Union as a host and facilitator for the EU Citizens Dialogues for the UN Food Systems Summit in 2021 and writing the press brochure for the ‘Women Driving Innovation’ campaign for Tetra Pak.
