Clark Material Handling Company has appointed TJ Shelters as director of sales and marketing. In this role, Shelters will oversee the sales and marketing activities and the associated support teams in Lexington, Kentucky related to new truck and aftermarket sales. He will report to Dennis Lawrence, president and chief executive officer.
As a leader in the materials handling industry, Shelters brings a wealth of experience in account management, team building and sales planning and management. In his new role, he will coordinate efforts between manufacturing and engineering to deliver solutions that meet the needs of both.

Siri Sundal Shield, senior ship broker at Odfjell Tankers, has been elected president of Women's International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA), succeeding Pia Meling, who has chosen to step back after two years.
Shield has spent close to 20 years in commercial roles within the shipping industry and has extensive broking and business development experience from ship broking majors Clarksons, Howe Robinson and Simpson Spence Young in London and Bergen.
In addition to the sitting seven board members, three new members were elected: Caroline Whittle, head of marketing at the Norwegian Maritime Authority; Agnieszka Sledz, former head of Clean Marine's system design and engineering; and Wallenius Wilhelmsen, senior executive advisor at Carine Moeller Mortensen.

Baumann has appointed Gary Chapman as president of Baumann Canada, as the company looks to build on investments made in the North American market.
Chapman will oversee the appointment of new dealers as well as support existing dealer, Cervus Equipment.
Chapman has extensive experience of the materials handling industry, and particularly the long load sector.
The size of the Canadian sideloader market remains relatively modest, yet the ability of sideloader equipment to carry long loads over greater distances has led to a growing number of enquiries amongst Canadian lumber, metals and extrusions businesses, the company notes.
