Hiab has launched the Moffett E5 NX as the third model in the eSeries of all-electric truck-mounted forklifts.

The E5 NX has all-wheel drive and can be delivered with four-way steering, enabling operation in confined areas.

The E5's moving mast combined with Lift Assist gives the user true one-side offloading.

“As the Moffett E5 NX is all-electric, it operates quietly and is emission-free, which makes it the ideal choice for customers operating in low emission zones and places where noise is a concern – like residential areas, outside normal working hours. However, it delivers the same performance as the Moffett M5 model that runs on diesel, but with lower service needs as it has fewer moving parts,” says Jann Hansen, Hiab vice president, sales and product management of truck-mounted forklifts.

 “The Moffett E5 NX is very versatile and can manoeuvre in rough terrain due to greater ground clearance, making it perfectly suited for a wide range of customers, across different environments in both rural and urban areas.”

The new model expands the all-electric range to three models, including the E2 and E4 NX launched in 2020.

“Our goal is to have a complete eSeries electric offering, making it easier for our customers to reduce their emissions without compromising productivity. Apart from a reduced climate impact, our electric truck-mounted forklifts have lower noise levels that improve safety and reduce the stress levels of the operators,” Hansen adds.

The E5 25.4 NX is among the finalists for the IFOY Award 2022 in the Special Vehicle/Warehouse Truck category.
